Science popularizes the correct posture of holding an electric iron
There are three common holding methods for electric irons:
Pen holding method: The most commonly used holding method is suitable for soldering electronic components on the PCB on the operating table.
Positive grip method: suitable for operation of medium-power electric soldering iron or electric soldering iron with elbow.
Anti-grip method: It is to use five fingers to hold the heat-insulating handle of the electric iron in the palm. It is suitable for high-power electric irons and welding devices with large heat dissipation.
The following are more practical for novices to use electric irons (recommended to read carefully)
If you are buying a new soldering iron, remember to first tin the new soldering iron tip, otherwise the soldering iron tip will easily oxidize and blacken, and it will not be easy to eat tin in the future.
Plug the new soldering iron into the power supply and apply rosin to the tip of the soldering iron as the temperature rises gradually;
When the rosin smokes and the tip of the soldering iron begins to melt the solder, apply tin to the tip of the soldering iron, so that the tin completely wraps the tip of the soldering iron, so that the soldering iron tip can be plated with a layer of solder to achieve a bright surface.
After the soldering is completed, clean the soldering iron tip with a cleaning sponge before turning off the power, and then tin the soldering iron tip to protect the soldering iron tip from oxidation.
When using the electric soldering iron, it must not be struck hard, and it should be prevented from accidentally falling, so as not to damage the electric iron. When there is too much solder on the tip of the soldering iron, do not throw it around to prevent scalding others. You can use the copper wire ball electric iron cleaner to clean it. It is easier to use and will not cause the temperature of the soldering iron tip to drop excessively. The tin on the top is very clean. After rubbing the copper skein, you can quickly wipe the tip of the soldering iron on the wet cleaning sponge a few times.
